Flap lock (case under seat)

I am a French new owner of an exiting 103-A2.
Sorry I don’t speak German so I can find if the answer already exist in the forum.
My Scoot didn’t have the flap so I bought one in the on line spare shop of the club.

It came equipped with the lock but I don’t understand how it can lock as there is only a +-10mm hole in the frame on the lock side.

Can someone make a detail picture of the lock side with the flap open?

Now let's get to your problem. I own an A1 "only" so I can't help you with pictures for the A2. But here is how it looks for an A1:

1. Rear body cowling without locking mechanism (seen from the underside)

2. Rear body cowling with mounted locking mechanism (seen from inside the cowling)

3. Locking pin at underside of the seat (top view)

This pin enters the hole in the locking mechanism when the seat bench is closed.

I hope this helps at least a little bit.

Please let me know if this mechanism is similar to the mechanism of your A2 and if you need any additional pictures.

many thanks for your pictures, now I do understand your problem. Sorry for the misunderstanding - I thought you were talking about the seat-lock mechanism, but you meant the inside cover instead.

I can't help you any further with this flap and its locking. It differs fundamentally from the A1 cover in the front area of the rear cowling.

But I'm pretty sure one of our A2 owners can help you now.

I keep my fingers crossed and wish you all the best in finding a solution.

vielen Dank für deine Bilder, jetzt verstehe ich dein Problem. Entschuldige das Missverständnis - ich dachte, Du sprichst von der Sitzverriegelung, aber Du meintest stattdessen die innere Abdeckung.

Ich kann Dir mit dieser Klappe und ihrer Verriegelung nicht weiterhelfen. Sie unterscheidet sich grundlegend vom Deckel des A1 im vorderen Bereich des Kofferkastens.

Aber ich bin mir ziemlich sicher, dass einer unserer A2-Besitzer Dir jetzt helfen kann.

Ich drücke Dir die Daumen und wünsche Dir alles Gute bei der Lösungsfindung.

Aber mein lieber Freund Bernd hat mich auf die falsche Fährte geführt, das kann er
aber beim IHT in Pforzen wieder gut machen

Dieses Verschlussteil ist am Krosserieblech nur viermal angepunktet, löst sich oft vom Blech
und geht verloren
Da man im Werk davon ausging, dass es dauerhaft hält, wurde und wird es auch nicht als Ersatzteil

My closing thougt: If you are a good metal worker you could try to manufacture such a locking part from a piece of sheet metal (using the piece from the carburator flap as a "template". Fix it to the rear cowling with four spot rivets and you should be good to go.

I will make a piece from sheet or from a large flat washer and screw or rivet it in the karrosserie.
