New Heinkel owner

The first Heinkel I found in Israel was this: (And I can probably still buy it if any body need parts).

When I was told about the one I got I was thinking same model. Imagine my surprise.
Since then I found out of another guy here who have two of them but in worse condition then mine, and he have not started to restore them yet.
I was told that quite a lot of them arrived to Israel during 64, but I don't have numbers. (Yet)

I am taking more small parts off and then I will start working on the engine. (starting with the fuel tap)

buy it? Are you kidding? The owner should give you a few bucks, if you take it away from his yard...

I just looked at the other pictures. There seem to be very few parts which are worth to "plunder". Maybe the frame is still good (but I doubt it). The running board could be OK too, as well as some minor spare parts. But as a whole this scooter is from my point of view basically scrap metal.

Nevertheless here at the Heinkel Club we consider all Heinkels to be "objects of major cultural value" - regardless of their condition. So, if you can salvage this wreck (at no charge would be best) it could be worth to save it. There will come a time (but presumably in the far, far future), when Heinkel spare parts will be precious. Today (and hopefully for a long time coming) you can get almost all spare parts for reasonable prices and in very much better condition from the Club.

So my advice is: get it for free and stow it away or forget it (and care for your 150).

thanks for the pictures - they are great!
I wouldn't have expected a Heinkel 150 in Your country - so it's a real find! Congratulations!
I've spent 2 weeks of my holidays in Israel in September and October this year and I was wondering to see very few oldtimers on the (busy) streets. I saw one very old Lambretta in bad condition and one or two old Vespas. Interesting - I saw several Vespas PX with sidecars - they must have been popular in Your country.

The law in Israel is that you are not aloude to drive Oldtimers during morning hours. This is so people will not use them for every day. Just as collection items.
You see them more on Friday and saterday as they are the "free of work" days in Israel.

I also owned a PX200 with a Longhi Sidecar in the 80´s- it took me in 89 from Helsinki to Leningrad- it was great!

Most I did was cross Israel from North to south. Started at a place called Manara by the Lebanon boarder and finished at Eilat by Egypt.
We can't go out of Israel...
We (Vespa & Lambretta oldtimers club) are planing a trip to the dead sea from Tel-Aviv. Not restored but If I'll get it to run properly...

Fuel tap is working again. Now to clean the carburetor.

BTW - I'll be in Wien from the 9' untill the 20' if any body in the city and want to have coffee together.
