1. Original Vergaser und Jet
2. 60,5 Oversize Kolben
3. Zylinderkopf hatte .006 Zoll entfernt, um ihn flach
4. Neue Aufnahme Ventil
5. Space in Ansaugkrümmer verhindern Dunst-Sperre
6. Mischung Schraube dreht sich auf 1,75

Danke.

Re: Erhöhen wollen Höchstgeschwindigkeit; Verlust der Macht mit
Thanks for getting back to me and asking me to post in English, which is much easier for me!
I have a Heinkel 103-A2, the current maximum speed of 80 km / h. I would like to increase the maximum speed to 92 as in the workshop manual. When I ride with the throttle wide open I have experienced a loss of power.
Here is my setup:
1 Original carburetor and Jet
2 60.5 Oversize Pistons
3 Cylinder head .006 removed to make it flat
4 New intake valve
5 Spaceer between carb and manifold to prevent vapor lock
6 Mixture screw turns to 1.75
7 Timing at 8 degrees before TDC
I did a "plug chop" to see the color of the plug. It was white, which may mean it runs lean. I have also tried to add a lead replacement to the gas. My compression is measured 5.17 bar with a hot engine, although I realized that was with the throttle clossed, not open, so it may not be accurate.
The scooter is good otherwise. Does anyone have any suggestions for me? Thank you.

Re: Erhöhen wollen Höchstgeschwindigkeit; Verlust der Macht mit
Hello Shawn,
everything seems to be fine, except of the pressure. The compression should be 9,1 bar for a warm motor. Your result seems to be too low.
Please let us know how long you are already using the piston. Another reason can be that the valves do not close good enough.
To check whether it is the valve or the piston, you can put a small amount of oil into the cylinder (through the bor of the spark) and the check again the compression. If it is now significantly better it should be the piston.
Another reason may be a blown gasket of the cylinder. Please check at first whether the bolts to fix the cylinder head ar tightened with the right torque. If not, do so and try it again.
Regards to the ignition, i made good experience with just using the sign (SP) at the housing.
Hope this helps a little bit and keep us informed. Step by step we will get it managed.
Best regards
Rolf

Re: Erhöhen wollen Höchstgeschwindigkeit; Verlust der Macht mit
1 Original carburetor and Jet
A: Remove the Filter and pull the Trottle, the "gas slidegate valve" (hope it is the right word...) opens max at the max way of the Handtrottle?
is the "gas slidegate valve" going higher then the max?
Mayby the reason for losing Power when you pull all the was at the Trottle.
6 Mixture screw turns to 1.75
Only for Condition gas/No-load operation
If your plug is to white, use a bigger nozzle/fuel jet!
You lose Power if the mixture is to lean.
Open the throttle xax to check your compession.
7 Timing at 8 degrees before TDC
Did your ignition advance mechanism work?
Handbook say 10 dregrees, but if 2 Degrees helps....
By the way, what is your cw in the airstream?
If i drive the realy fast Tourist of a friend, it isnt fast under me
Happy scooting!
Oh my english, hope you can translate my writing....

Re: Erhöhen wollen Höchstgeschwindigkeit; Verlust der Macht mit
Hi Bernd and Rolf:
Thank you for your help. I ordered a set of main jets since it sounds like I am not getting enough fuel with a wide open throttle. I have to recheck my compression because I measured with the throttle closed. The piston has about 1300 km on it. I will also try to check the valves and carburetor slide valve and let you know.
Thanks again,
Shawn
