Beitrag von heinkelmichael »

Anyone have any information on this .https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid ... pe=3&ifg=1
Not sure if this link will work. I was given this Trophy in 1977 while on a visit to a Mr Hans in Hans Motors Cobden road, in London.
I was told there was only ten ever made. Has anyone got any information on it. Best regard,s Michael in Ireland. I hope the link works as I cannot attach photos of the trophy here.

A few numbers of the golden Heinkel were distributed in the 60ies to successful dealers as an incentive. Hans Motors was such a successful dealer.

Only a few of these trophy have survived.

Attached the version which is located in the HCD´s "hall of fame".

Would be nice to learn more about YOUR trophy e.g. what was the reason, that Hans gave it to you. Would be a nice story for the Heinkel-Info.

Hello A.N.h, from Drogheda, in Ireland. Thank you for the information on the Heinkel trophy. This is the story as well as I can remember it.
I have a friend who got married in 1977 and of course myself and my girlfriend at the time attended the wedding. After the wedding he asked me if myself and Joyce, my girlfriend, would go with them on their Honeymoon as they were going to tour U.K. and Wales on his Heinkel A1. I also had a Heinkel A2 so we all set of to England camping for two weeks. We decided to make a visit to Hans Motors in Cobden road in London and maybe buy some Heinkel parts. When we arrived the place was closed but Mr Hans wife opened the door and very kindly insisted we come in and have tea and sandwiches. Mr Hans took myself and Tom ,my friend up to a huge attic space and it was like an Ala-dins cave. Could not believe the amount of Heinkel parts there. We did not have much money in those days but I bought a piston and a set of air scoops. We then returned to the sitting room and Mr Hans wife had tea and sandwiches and cakes on the table. We had been on our Scooters for over 10 hours so the tea was very welcome. While sitting down at the fire I saw a Heinkel Trophy on the mantelpiece. I asked could I see it and Mr Hans gave it to me to look at. I was amazed as I had never seen anything like this before. I asked him would he sell it to me but he seemed insulted so I said sorry and put it back over the fireplace. So it is now time to depart . We thanked them , gave a big hug and kiss to his wife and went outside to get on our scooters. Mr hans came out and he was very impressed with the condition of our Heinkels . He said something to his wife and she went inside and came out with what looked like sandwiches
in tinfoil. She put the package in my side bag and we could use them later. Again we had hugs and we left London to find a campsite for the night. The next morning we woke up and made some tea and it was then I remembered the Sand witches in my side bag. When I opened the tinfoil , yes, maybe you guessed , Here was the Heinkel Trophy wrapped in a cloth with paper around it and wrapped in tinfoil. I nearly wept with surprise. I can only think that Mr Hans after looking at our Heinkels he would give me the gift. I will never know what was in his mind that day. Sorry this was a bit long. My very best regard,s to you all. Michael from the Heinkel club, Ireland.
