HeinkelFest 2011
August 11th - 14th
Colorado Springs, CO
Warm afternoons and cool evenings, no better weather for scootering in Colorado!
Bring your Tourist to Colorado Springs for a few days of beautiful riding, camaraderie and good eats!
A few planned activities:
* Rides through Garden of the Gods.
* Singing at the Golden Bee.
* Ride to Seven Falls.
* Tour of the El Pomar Carriage House.
* Dinner at Edelweiss.
* Model discussions. I will have running examples of all electric start Tourists. You can see first hand the differences between each model. We can also talk about what each scooter should have installed, and what is missing.
* Test rides. You can compare a 102A1 with everything else.
* Ride up Pikes Peak. This journey will require an early departure (7 or 8am). How does Friday morning sound? The round trip time is 3 hours. How does the thought of 12 Tourists climbing Pike Peak sound? I don't think that many have EVER climbed Pikes Peak.
I hosted HeinkelFest in 2009. We had seven running Heinkels in attendance, and at least two others were visited. Two years have past, and as many more Tourists have arrived in Colorado. I am sure we can up our attendance.
This year's event could bring a dozen Tourists, if a few non-Coloradoans attend. Let me know what interests you, I am very flexible with what we will do. If you have specific needs, I might host a few tech sessions or two!
