My Heinkel 154 is leaning a bit to the left side, around 2 cm lower than the right side (its a left hand drive). Shocks feels good and are not leaking so believe it need new springs.
What springs come closest to the stock springs, the soft or hard from Henkel club? My weight is 90 kg and we often travel 2 so total passenger weight is around 150 kg, what springs would you recommend, soft or hard?
What other parts would be smart to order and replace when taking suspension apart to replace springs?
Best regards Per

Leider bin ich kein Kabinenprofi
Da jedoch viele Forumbenutzer die englische Sprache nicht so gut beherrschen, lass doch bitte Google

Re: Front suspension
Hi Per,
After about 30 years, I have rebuilt my Heinkel Type 150. I have not made much kilometres yet but in my opinion, the hard springs are ok for traveling with 2 persons and 1 dog (140kg).
To your question about spares; on my Heinkel the rubber bushings 15/21b were worn badly. In addition, the nuts on top of the shock absorber have a fine thread, so it is useful to replace them with new ones. If you have play between the axle stub and axle crank then you will need particular washers 15/39? ore shims, and of course new cotter pins.
Good luck and let us know your progress
Greetings Jürg

Thanks Jürg,
I will then order the hard springs, bushings and few other parts.
Take care, best regards Per
