New bing carburetor needle jet adjustment

Hello,

I need some help adjusting the needle height on a new (meaning brand new) big carb for my A102.

Most needle jests I know have a split pin of some sort but this does not have one.

I do not want to force it up or down and the clip that there is fitted does not seem to come out:(

Seen some videos of twist and pull, but once again I do not want to put any pressure on it.

It seems my carb is running very rich and would need to lower it.. So does anyone know what should it be?
